Genshin Impact 5.1 Leaks Are Enough Reason For Me To Get Deep Into Imaginarium Theater (2024)

The Genshin Impact 5.1 leaks about the Imaginarium Theater game mode may finally push me deep into the activity to farm. Imaginarium Theater is a fairly recent endgame mode added to the action RPG by developer HoYoverse to accompany the Spiral Abyss. In its rotation, players have to build team comps around the available elements during the period, though some guest characters are exceptions. There are elements of roguelike progression in the sense that players can select various stages and modifiers. There were Imaginarium Theater updates in Genshin Impact 5.0, making it much easier to build teams to challenge it.

Not only does the game mode undergo changes with every period, seeing that the playable elements are swapped, but this new activity is consistently undergoing a few updates for optimization purposes as it continues to expand. Additionally, the developer is also starting to add new rewards for players who venture deep into it. This includes the character trails for underused Genshin Impact characters, such as Diluc, Qiqi, and Kirara. However, it seems like that is actually going to change soon, and I might see myself subjectively forced to tackle Imaginarium Theater to unlock an enticing reward.

Rumors Indicate The Prizes Will Be Obtainable Via The Imaginarium Theater

Rumors indicate that the roster of available trails will increase. According to information provided by Plum Team Leaks, which was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit, two new character trails, or echoes, will be made available in Version 5.1. The character trails are for the 5-star units Keqing and Zhongli. Keqing’s leaked echo is composed of a trail of lilac-colored flowers. Alternatively, Zhongli’s leaked echo apparently leaves a trail of Geo sigils, much like the ones that adorn the shield he provides his teammates (and that can be seen sealing Azhdaha in Genshin Impact).

I’ve Been Avoiding The Activity For Some Time

While Keqing’s leaked echo does seem pretty, it is Zhongli’s character trail that really teases me. This is because Zhongli is one of my main characters across any team comp – regardless of the elemental type of damage I am trying to deal, Zhongli is normally there to provide a powerful shield to his allies. In fact, Zhongli remains, to this day, the strongest shielder in the game.

If the leak is true, Zhongli will be the first character that I could customize with an echo that is actually present during my team comps. This makes me excited, especially as I will be extremely involved in exploring Natlan in the next few patches rather than just teleporting around to run Daily Commissions and farming Domains. With the possibility of an echo for Zhongli, I’ll finally be able to use the cosmetic I’ve been looking forward to. This, however, will require me to finally dive deep into the Imaginarium Theater activity in Genshin Impact.

So far, I have not been grasped by the endgame mode. The gameplay structure did not appeal to the way I tackle the game, so I’ve been avoiding truly putting effort into it. I have been doing the bare minimum within Imaginarium Theater, but to unlock Zhongli’s leaked echo, I’ll have to change my behavior toward the game mode. Luckily, the cosmetic effect seems like just enough to endure something I do not like since the payoff will be greatly appreciated. However, that investment may have already been put in jeopardy given the release of Xilonen in Genshin Impact 5.1.

The New 5-Star Character May Become A Geo Staple

Xilonen, a new 5-star Geo character, has been confirmed for Version 5.1. While no details about her have been officially revealed, several leaks have already started to detail some of her abilities. Xilonen will be a Geo support, serving as both a shielder and a debuffer. If she truly is a shielder, Xilonen may pose competition for Zhongli’s reign over the shielder role. It is unlikely Xilonen’s shields will be as strong as Zhongli’s, but there is a chance she may be worth the substitution given her other leaked abilities, such as Resistance shredding enemies in Genshin Impact.

If Xilonen truly is as good as her leaks indicate, I may see myself trading Zhongli for her, thus making any grinding efforts in the Imaginarium Theater in search of his character trail useless. For now, these leaks should be considered with caution, as they may be incorrect or subject to change. I am extremely excited about finally being able to use a character trail on my team comp’s Zhongli, though I am way about possible obsolescence with the prospect of a new Geo character in Genshin Impact 5.1.
